Blaze Pizza: Build your Vegan Pizza
If you’re on a road trip or commuting to work and trying to look for some vegan road-side eats, I recommend checking out Blaze Pizza. This new fast food place offers vegan pizza that you can customize and build yourself and is fast fired to perfection.
If you’re in a time crunch, but want to eat something fairly healthy, this place has got you covered.
What is Blaze Pizza?
Blaze Pizza is a new pizza chain restaurant that lets you build your vegan pizza right at the counter! The cool thing about Blaze is that they are super vegan-friendly and make sure that your pizza does not contain any animal ingredients. Although they do serve meat at this place, they make a real effort to keep your food separate and uncontaminated.
Since building your pizzas is a trend that is gaining popularity in food chains, Blaze Pizza has taken this to the next level by offering vegan and gluten-free options. I particularly enjoy customizing my pizza because I feel like it’s a fun experience and I can make my pizza exactly how I want it to be, customizing it to my preference. This is especially great if you have any allergies or dietary preferences.
So how does Blaze Pizza work?
When you walk into Blaze, there is a large display of fresh ingredients to choose from.
I love to build a custom pizza because they allow you to choose an unlimited amount of toppings.
There are six steps to building your custom vegan pizza.
First, you choose your dough (crust). The gluten-free crust is vegan as well as their normal classic wheat flour crust. Surprisingly enough, their Cauliflower crust is not vegan because it contains dairy and eggs. I love that their crusts are made daily and are shaped as soon as you place your order.
Next, you choose your sauce, there is a classic red pizza sauce that I always go for. Once that has been completed, you can choose your cheese.
I should note that they also offer vegan cheese which is pretty amazing (and so hard to find at other chains!) You can also opt for no cheese, but why would you do that?
Next, you choose your meats. They offer a couple of vegan options when it comes to meat like Spicy Chorizo and Vegan Chicken.
There are more than two dozen toppings to select from including black olives, artichoke olives, kalamata olives, bell peppers, basil, onions, cherry tomatoes, garlic, jalapeños, mushrooms, red onions, pineapple, and roasted red peppers. All you have to do is point at a topping that you want and they’ll throw it on for you.
I decided to opt for a vegan chicken pizza. Although the fake meat was decent tasting, it’s wasn’t my cup of tea and I would probably just leave it off next time.
Lastly, you can choose your finishes like a drizzle of olives oil, arugula, a dash of sea salt or a handful of oregano.
They also offer lots of different types of beverages to wash down your pizza like house-made lemonade, San Pellegrino sparkling water, apple juice, and water.
What’s the atmosphere at Blaze Pizza like?
The atmosphere at Blaze is very laid back and casual. Although it is a fast-food joint, it’s pretty nice looking inside with lots of indoor and outdoor seating with crushed red pepper and salt on every table. This is a great spot to dine in or take out.
Where is Blaze Pizza located?
The best part about Blaze Pizza is that they have over a dozen locations in the southern California area stretching from San Diego to the inland valley of Los Angeles. They also have over a hundred locations scattered all across the USA as well as Canada. You can check out their store locator on their website to find a Blaze Pizza location near you. https://hq.blazepizza.com/locations/. And since this chain is operating as a franchise (meaning anyone can open up a shop if they want to), we expect that there will be a lot more Blaze Pizza restaurants opening up in the years ahead.
How Expensive is Blaze Pizza?
The prices at Blaze Pizza are super affordable! The average price is $8 for a pizza and if you get an 11-inch thin crust, the prices can be as low as $6. The cool thing about Blaze pizza is that the prices make vegan pizza accessible to more people.
No longer is vegan pizza a fancy dish that costs a bunch of money, but now it can be had for the same price (or even less) as other chains like Dominos and Papa Johns.
New Large Shareable pizzas
I heard that Blaze Pizza now offers giant-sized pizzas for events or social gatherings. So if you need a large sized pizza, you can order online and they’ll make it for you (based on your specifications). But sadly, the giant-sized pizza is not available for walk-ins (maybe in the future they’ll allow for this) if enough people want it.
Get a Free Pizza at Blaze Pizza
If you join Blaze Rewards, you can win free stuff like desserts, drinks, and pizza. This is a good option if you eat here often (like me!) and are addicted to freebies.
We hope you’ve enjoyed our wrap up on Blaze Pizza. We can honestly say that this place is our go-to spot when we need a quick bite when we’re on the road. I think this place is also great if you’re looking for a place to eat with your omnivore friends and family because they can get whatever you want, and of course, there are vegan options for you. The portions are quite generous and a personal pizza is more than enough to fill you up, or eat half and take the rest for later.
