Ate here for the first time with my friend and it was incredible! The service was warm and our server gave us thoughtful recommendations. We shared the cabbage salad which was tangy and fresh with the crunch of an almond. We also shared the green hummus which was refreshing and full of flavor. Lastly we shared the almond flour pancakes and the peanut-butter banana combo was a bite of nostalgia. Needless to say we will be back! Thanks for an amazing lunch team!

Beautiful vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options. This may be my favourite restaurant of all time. The menu items were fresh, delicious and inventive. Our favourites were the avocado lettuce cups (not pictured) and the cauliflower but everything was excellent. The staff were friendly, kind and helpful with recommendations. They were also welcoming to children. This restaurant is a must!

It’s a charming spot with decent food, but not without flaws. The scrambled eggs were delightful but missed the mark without any bread or dosa on the side. The beet was outstanding, though. I ordered the eggs with mushrooms, but they were undercooked and had to be sent back. We wrapped up our meal with pancakes for dessert, which was quite good. The service was passable. Our server appeared overwhelmed, but a young man assisting her stood out and was impressive.

abcV, the vegetarian concept from Jean-Georges, offers a rustic yet stylish ambiance, creating an inviting and cozy dining experience. The decor, with its natural elements and warm lighting, complements the restaurant’s plant-forward philosophy. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, and the hospitality was top-notch—the hostess and servers were incredibly welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. The meal started on a high note with two exceptional dishes. The Market Beets were a standout—fresh, zesty, and bursting with flavor. Their taste showcased the kitchen’s ability to elevate simple ingredients into something special. Following that, the Dosa Chutney was another highlight. This delicate crepe-like dish, served with fermented turmeric sambal, coriander mint chutney, and mango chutney, was a harmonious blend of flavors that felt well-balanced and satisfying. These two dishes set an exciting tone for the meal, raising expectations for what was to come. Unfortunately, the hot dishes did not live up to the same standard. The Char-Grilled Rainbow Carrots with Seed & Nut Butter were overly heavy. The nut butter created a pasty texture that masked the natural sweetness and smokiness of the grilled carrots, rather than enhancing them. The caviar lime garnish was a nice touch, but ultimately, the dish felt off-balance. The biggest disappointment of the evening was the Mushroom Walnut Bolognese with Paccheri. The pasta choice did not complement the sauce—the thick paccheri was too rubbery, making each bite feel like a mismatch between the elements. The mushroom walnut bolognese lacked depth, and instead of the pasta absorbing the flavors, I found myself layering the sauce just to create cohesion. A rigatoni or pappardelle would have been a much better choice, allowing the sauce to cling properly and deliver a more satisfying texture. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, the inconsistency in execution was surprising. While the first courses were bright, flavorful, and innovative, the warm dishes fell flat, leaving me disappointed. In my journey to experience every Michelin-starred restaurant in NYC, abcV, unfortunately, is not one I would recommend. While the service and ambiance were excellent, and some dishes showed real creativity, the overall meal lacked the refinement and balance expected at this level. Final Rating: 4/5 Would I return? Likely not. Would I recommend it? Only for the lighter, cold dishes—but not for a full dining experience.

If you are plant based this is the place for you... if you have a fat wallet. There are some delicious and creative vegetable dishes here. The dosa with three dips is so flavorful and spicy. Grilled carrots were better than any meat dish. Nutty rice with a non vegan labneh (on the side) was yummy. Desserts were excellent especially the chocolate cherry layer cake. Good drinks as well including some NA tonics. Prices are really high as you might expect but it's not for the faint of spending.
