First, full disclosure. I am a fan of Founding Farmers. I worked near the original location in DC and frequented it regularly. It is a group of farmers, a cooperative, from North Dakota. We found ourselves in Reston and were able to visit this location. The atmosphere is fantastic, see the photos. Our server was fairly new and was so nice. We would ask for her again. The food was excellent. We had an appetizer, they are known for their corn bread. My spouse had steak and I had pasta. We finished with dessert each and took two desserts home. Check it out. We don't think you would be disappointed.

My family booked a spot for the Christmas day AM buffet. Overall it was just an OK experience for the price ($55/adult, $22 kids 7-12). Here's a breakdown: The good: 1. Our server was very attentive and nice. 2. The food had many quality meat and desert options. The bad: 1. Dirty table (see red circle in photo). They should not use wooden table tops, since it's hard to clean them especially if you're in such a rush to notice little spots. 2. Crab cake was bad. Mostly made of salty breading, and barely had any actual crab meat in it (see photo). I had to work hard to dig out the little strands of crab meat. 3. No soup options at all. 4. Only water included. All drinks are extra. The lack of soup (and drinks) really made us feel full fairly quickly. Maybe that's intentional. But I thought this place is supposed to be upscale. We left feeling full, but not impressed. I've been to hotel buffets where the food was so good I could see myself going back the next day. This buffet did not give me that feeling. It's just a step above Golden Corral. Not sure if I'd even be back next year.

It’s no surprise this place is so popular! Some highlights for us were the fresh toast, green tea, hash browns, and orange juice. Everything tasted great and felt worth the price. A delightful experience overall!

Fast and accommodating service! Came here as part of an end of the year work gathering. My only issue is that my burger and fries came out cold and since I was with a large party I didn't want to be the one to say anything. Not sure if having a reservation would lead to this issue since they are making sure meals come out as quickly as possible, but maybe if I try them again in the future things would be a bit different.
